March 25, 2024, Lunar Eclipse
Hello gorgeous folks,
We are officially in Eclipse Season 2024, which lasts for six weeks.
I know many fear Eclipse Season but I love it. I welcome it as an invitation to go to a new level. Whatever changes present themselves in my life during eclipses are always an opportunity to transform a pattern or release a pattern. Eclipse season presents me with information about my life, my desires, and my dreams. I believe that is why the ancients revered eclipses because it gives us that opportunity to grow and expand.
Given our access to so many tools and healing resources, I feel we have an even greater opportunity in this modern age to more fully integrate our eclipse lessons granted to us from this beautiful, supportive energy from the universe.
With all of that being said, let’s get into the nitty-gritty.
Our pre-eclipse season was March 11th until March 24th because the actual full moon lunar eclipse happens today, March 25, 2024, in the sign of Libra. Reflect back on what major issues or conversations occurred in your life the past two weeks. Most likely these will be highlighted during the rest of this eclipse season with further related developments over the next six months.
Our second eclipse will be a new moon solar eclipse on April 8, 2024, in the sign of Aries. Eclipses always occur in pairs and are usually in two year cycles.
This particular Aries-Libra Eclipse series began March 2023 and completes March 2025.
This March 25th Eclipse connects to the Solar New Moon Eclipse that was October 14, 2023. What happened six months in certain areas of your life may be highlighted. Or something significant within the past six months. Something may be coming to completion or fruition for you, or around you, during this two week eclipse window or doorway which is from March 25th to April 8th. Then we enter the post eclipse season for two weeks ending April 23rd.
This particular eclipse also happens at the same time we are in the pre-shadow of the upcoming Mercury retrograde period that began March 19, the same day of the Spring Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere. Mercury will retrograde April 1 through the 25. So this year Mercury Retrograde overlaps with this eclipse season.
Now, I am in the camp of people that would suggest that you do not start any major initiative or a new project that you’re completely unfamiliar with during this eclipse season since it does also overlap with mercury retrograde.
I personally don’t start any major projects or initiatives during either eclipse season or a mercury retrograde. So, when they overlap I think it’s also important to be even more mindful and more present in your everyday activities.
The energy can be really unstable, which is one of the reasons why folks don’t startt a major initiative during this time. But of course life happens so keep living your life. I don’t think astrology is about being afraid to do anything. Honestly, I feel like it embolden us to lives our more fully.
I am just giving you the astrologics or the breakdown of the energies so that you can work with them, plan for, and prepare. That’s how I approach it.
So, if you have something major going on, a big event already on the calendar just be mindful. Double, triple check everything and also be aware, that because of the eclipse energy and the mercury retrograde energy combined, that people may be more checked out. You may be more checked out. You may be more emotionally reactive. People around you may be more emotionally reactive.
You also may not have all the information for an important situation. With a mercury retrograde a lot of times you just don’t have all the facts. Plus eclipses can also obscure information. Yet, eclipses can also offer big reveals or unexpected announcements.
Particularly, since we are in a political season with the upcoming 2024 U.S. Presidential Election. It’s interesting that Donald Trump’s election interference trial begins today March 25th, the day of the actual eclipse. Will be interesting to see what is announced over the upcoming weeks as a result of that trial.
Given that eclipses traditionally shake things up, I suspect this upcoming eclipse will have surprise announcements for both Joe Biden and Trump. There may be stories in the news for both candidates where we all think, “Wow, I did not see that coming.”
During this eclipse season and mercury retrograde, I recommend practicing mindful attention. Slow down when you can. As a rule, I’m not a fan of multitasking or task switching as they say. I think it’s important to just be fully in the moment and be present with what you’re doing when you’re doing it.
It is incredibly important during these next few weeks when people will be more distracted and paying less attention than usual. Accidents tend to happen more during mercury retrogrades for that reason. So, if you are someone who likes to text and drive at the same time, don’t do that even if you’re using the audio feature where you’re speaking the text.
If you’re going somewhere you’ve never been and you’re having a work call at the same time you’re navigating a new route, I suggest not doing those things at the same time. Instead, take the time to park the car and do the work call. Park the car and then text about the errands and the kids and the things you need to for your partner.
Speaking of relationships, there may be dynamics and conversations where people say things like “I don’t know why I’m doing XYZ” and they actually don’t have a clue. They are not purposely trying to frustrate you. This eclipse season could have folks foggy around their feelings and patterns.
I suggest giving people space to just not have the full picture, to not be completely on it. Let’s also give ourselves grace and space as well.
