Dance with Uncertainty
Trust Your Intuition
As election week approaches, some of you may have already cast your votes, while others may head to the polls soon. Clearly, there’s a palpable sense of uncertainty in the air. The upcoming New Moon in Scorpio, exact at 8:47 am ET on November 1, 2024, amplifies this energy, bringing with it heightened emotional intensity. This New Moon features both a Mars-Pluto opposition and a Mercury-Uranus opposition.
This moment invites us to dance with uncertainty, both as we await election results and as we remain open to what may be revealed in our personal lives in the weeks ahead. Jupiter’s transit through Gemini adds to the influx of information we’re receiving—much of which may be unverified. So, if you hear or see information that jars you emotionally, pause, take a breath, and consult your intuition. Verify it before reacting.
Our Times Will Change
The Mars-Pluto opposition also signals change and transformation, both on a personal and collective level. This is happening as Pluto makes its final transit through Capricorn—marking the end of a cycle that won’t repeat for over 240 years. This is significant, especially as it coincides with Pluto’s return in the U.S. natal chart.
Meanwhile, the Mercury-Uranus opposition suggests we may encounter unexpected news or revelations—an “October surprise,” if you will. This could prompt us to reevaluate our relationships with communication tools, such as social media and mainstream news outlets. Events in the coming weeks may lead us to a personal revelation shift, or even a revolution, in how we interact with mainstream media for the remainder of the decade and beyond.
This week’s astrology acknowledges people “will be in their feelings.” Of course, you do not need to be an astrologer to know this, just someone observing U.S. events over the past fifteen to twenty years.
Mindful Practices for Election Season
Limit Digital Distractions
For this week and next week, limit news consumption to no more than 20 minutes per day—set a timer if needed. If possible, set your phone to "Do Not Disturb," allowing only essential contacts to reach you. If your work requires constant connectivity, consider unsubscribing temporarily from political text services. Avoid a flood of notifications that may heighten your anxiety. You can always resubscribe after mid-November.
Fact-Check Disturbing News
This is an invitation to sit with uncertainty and observe what unfolds—not only in this election but also in your personal life through the end of the year. Again, as Jupiter transits Gemini, expect a flood of information, much of which may be inaccurate. Pause and engage your intuition before reacting to triggering news. Research on your own terms and avoid jumping to conclusions.
Trust Yourself and Your Intuition
Do your daily grounding and meditation practices. Go for a walk. Take a dance break.
Remember to trust yourself and your intuition.
Regardless of the outcome of next week’s U.S. Election, know that you can still choose to thrive.
Let me know how it goes.
Easefully yours,
Darice
